The institution already has a reputation for having produced a good number of Central and State Government employees, successful businessmen, agriculturists, school, college and university teachers. Members of Legislative Assembly and Parliament and Deputy speaker been the State Legislative Assembly. The potential for academic reputation, it is felt, has already been enhanced by the grant of autonomy and the status of accreditation- as academic reputation is an off-shoot of academic excellence. Autonomy has provided the academic freedom required to design innovative curriculum, and use multimedia materials and modern methods of teaching and evaluation. In other words, it has given a new direction to the institution; a new mind-set to the teachers and new hope to the students which are the pre-requisites for academic excellence.

     The academic profile of the staff of the college is quite impressive. Above one third them hold Ph.D.'s while nearly two thirds hold M.Phil.'s. As many as 32 members of the staff are recognized by the university as research Supervisors and the college has so far produced 32 Ph.D.'s and 112 M.Phil.;s.

     The faculty together with the Principal forms an efficient team that can respond to the ever-changing needs of the insitition.
